United with the species, human,
we bear our children within us;
moving and precious life,
protected from a world
where good and evil flow like twin rivers.
Time brings anxiousness, Father,
and the anticipation of birth.
Like Your Son,
all enter the world through woman
as all enter the next womb
Be with us this special day,
as our child enters.
All that lies before us
is a mystery, yet cherished,
for we cling to You and our faith
as this passage, begins.
As You release our child's hand
into our own
protect him in Your eternal light
and bestow upon us,
all that is necessary
that we might have the foresight
to bring about Your will
in this child's life.
With praise and thanksgiving
we lift our souls
for this day, given us.
