Cabasse is preparing to launch a new full range 4-way point source speaker system. The La Sphere system provides the entire range of sound to the human ear through one speaker.
The new system is fitted with a 4-way coaxial unit offering a flat response from 30 to 22,000 Hz. Because of the QC55 coaxial layout and the Cabasse active digital filter, the response curve off-axis remains the same in every direction for the same angle, the directivity remains perfectly controlled. The coherency of the impulse responses on and off-axis is the best it has been.
Atlantis, launched in 1993, was fitted with a tri-axial unit covering the 200-20,000 Hz bandwidth, providing coherency of the direct sound field and of the reflected sound field.
After the tri-axial TC21 came in 2002, the TC22 was developed, a new version covering the 80-20,000 Hz bandwidth. La Sphere is the next step in this progression.
Cabasse develops drivers and speakers based on direct comparison with live music: high efficiency, high power handling, respect of the natural timbres of the instruments, and wide dynamic range.
