Von Hoffmann Corporation, a leading North American educational and commercial printer, today announced plans to integrate the operations of Precision Offset Printing Company into the Pennsauken, New Jersey facility of The Lehigh Press recently acquired in October, 2003. This integration will take place during the first quarter of 2004.
"We are the industry leader in printing on transparencies for our education customers, and this key market represents approximately $17 million in annual revenue for Von Hoffmann," said Robert Mathews, President and Chief Executive Officer of Von Hoffmann. "Lehigh possesses the latest state-of-the- art sheetfed equipment and digital print technologies. In addition, Lehigh has years of experience printing complex high quality products on a variety of materials. By transitioning certain expertise and equipment from Precision into Lehigh as well as making further significant investments in prepress, press, and bindery, it is our intent to create a platform for printing on plastics that far surpasses anyone in the book printing industry," said Mathews.
"The integration of Precision into the Lehigh enterprise will give our plastics customers access to high quality production, technological leadership, and increased efficiencies that our educational customers already enjoy from Lehigh," said John R. DePaul, President of Lehigh Lithographers and Senior VP of Educational Sales for Von Hoffmann. "Lehigh has built its reputation on technology and innovation in printing, stamping, and embossing on a variety of substrates. Printing on plastics is a complementary fit. We are excited to bring our full set of capabilities to all our valued customers," commented DePaul.
