Xpherix mobile productivity applications are now available to three new wireless operators. Cellular One, Cellular South, and nTelos became the latest carriers to offer Remo, iPhonebook, and iDatebook to subscribers.
Remo is a mobile productivity application that connects subscribers to the valuable content they need when away from their office or home PC -- email, contacts and calendar. Remo enables subscribers to securely access email from seven different POP3 or IMAP accounts and easily synchronizes contacts and calendar content from popular desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Lotus Notes and Palm Desktop software.
iPhonebook and iDatebook, core functionality included in Remo, provide access to contacts and calendar respectively, and are offered as stand alone applications.
"Xpherix is pleased to be working with Cellular One, Cellular South and NTELOS to introduce mobile productivity applications and significantly expand our market reach," said Nick Walker, Xpherix president and CEO. "The decision by these operators to deploy Remo, iPhonebook and iDatebook validates the growing demand for mobile productivity applications and will provide business and individual users alike an affordable and convenient way to stay connected on one mobile device."
"Increasingly, businesses and individual mobile workers are seeking out wireless tools and devices that enhance their productivity, reduce downtime, and improve response time," said Iain Gillott, founder of iGillottResearch, Inc. "Email, calendar and contact applications are usually the first that a business deploys to its mobile workers, since these applications are ones they use in their regular work day. The benefit of these mobile applications can be realized very quickly."
