Tripath Technology announced today that its TA2022, Class-T audio amplifier has been selected to power Sanyo's new home theater system.
Tripath's Class-T TA2022 digital audio amplifier is featured in Sanyo's home theater system, DC-PS1000WL. TA2022 produces 50 watts of power for the front, center and satellite speakers and 80 watts for the sub-woofer. DC-PS1000WL consists of a receiver with DVD player, tall-boy front speakers with integrated sub-woofer, and active satellite speakers.
Tripath's Class-T 1-bit digital audio amplifiers have been integrated in various home theater products. Through space-saving technology, low heat dissipation, and high-energy efficiency, Tripath is often chosen by sophisticated, thin design of home theater product from premium audio brands.
"We are pleased that Sanyo chose Tripath's digital amplifier products for their new home theater system in addition to their recent selection of Tripath's products for their next generation flat panel TVs line," said Dr. Adya Tripathi, Chairman, President and CEO for Tripath. "Home theater system is an ideal application for Tripath's digital amplifiers, since it requires highly efficient multi-channel amplifier and sound quality that meets audiophile's expectations."
Tripath's 1-bit digital audio amplifiers rely on a fundamentally new approach to amplifier design that uses semiconductor-based amplifiers that provide significant performance, power efficiency, size, weight and cost advantages over traditional amplifier technology.
