In April 2004, Burgerville and the internationally award-winning Rogue Creamery collaborated to bring guests a new Rogue River Blue Cheese Chicken Sandwich. The new Burgerville sandwich featured a crispy chicken breast dressed with a Rogue River Blue Cheese-based spread. Rogue River Blue Cheese won top honors at the 2003 World Cheese Awards in London - a first for an American-made blue cheese. The micro-creamery, based in Central Point, Oregon, brings nearly 70 years of expertise into every ounce of their artisan made cheeses. Topped with a delicious combination of fresh ingredients including slices of red onion, tomatoes, crisp lettuce, all together on a nine-grain bun, this sandwich were available for ten weeks. At the same time, Burgerville brought back its popular Rogue River Blue Cheese Bacon Burger, stacked with an all-natural Oregon Country Beef patty, two slices of pepper bacon, red onions, lettuce, and tangy Rogue River Blue Cheese spread on a sesame seed bun.
