Construction of Trump Tower Tampa was launched at the development site of the 52-story, $260 million, ultra-luxury condominium in downtown Tampa. Developed in a partnership of Donald J. Trump and SimDag, the tower will be the tallest residential building on the Gulf coast.
"This is an exciting development for Tampa, in many ways," said Mark Huey of the City of Tampa. "When this project was announced last year, the focus and attention on the vibrancy and viability of downtown Tampa as a wonderful place to live, work and play was taken to a new level. We're delighted with how Trump Tower Tampa incorporates and celebrates the Tampa Riverwalk and how this level of investment and commitment to quality reflects on our city."
"The entire development team is mindful of the significance and impact this project will have on the City of Tampa and the downtown area," stated Jill Cremer of The Trump Organization. "To that end, we took all the time and steps necessary to make sure that every aspect of this development would be executed to the highest standards which Mr. Trump and his partners at SimDag share."
The $260-million development is located on a 1.5-acre site at 111 South Ashley Drive along the Hillsborough River in the heart of Tampa's financial and cultural districts. The building will feature 192 condominium and penthouse residences ranging from 1,991 square feet to 6,150 square feet and priced from $700,000 to over $6 million.
Donald Trump said "We are developing a signature landmark property so spectacular that it will redefine both Tampa's skyline and the market's expectations of luxurious condominium living."
Trump Tower Tampa will be built by Turner Construction.
"We are delighted to be working with Turner," stated Robert E. Lyons of SimDag. The quality of their work is a perfect fit for our demands and the expectations of our clients, people with the wherewithal to live anywhere they like. What they will build along with an outstanding group of subcontractors, 92 percent of which are from the Tampa Bay area, is unlike anything planned or currently available in the Tampa Bay market."
Trump Tower Tampa was designed by Smith Barnes Santiesteban Architecture.
Owners will have such privileges as concierge and valet services, a conference room/business center, a party room with a catering kitchen, a fitness center and spa, a restaurant, retail shops, serviced suites for overnight guests, private elevator lobbies, billiards and game rooms and state-of-the-art security services. The residential lobby and other spaces will feature exotic wood finishes, imported marble floors with inlaid onyx highlights and a fine art collection.
