Wily Technology today announced Introscope PowerPack for IBM z/OS, the newest addition to Wily's comprehensive solution suite for IBM mainframe and distributed application platforms.
Introscope PowerPack for IBM z/OS combines the ability of Introscope to monitor the performance of Java components with measurements specific to an IBM z/OS mainframe environment. Pre-configured to offer out-of-the-box monitoring, Introscope PowerPack for z/OS enables IT personnel to monitor servlets, EJBs and JSPs as well as non-Java mainframe processes simultaneously in production and rapidly identify the level of critical z/OS resources consumed by each one. PowerPack for z/OS increases operational efficiency by facilitating communications between Java and non-Java system administrators, so that performance issues can be identified and resolved quickly.
"Introscope PowerPack for IBM z/OS allows IBM mainframe customers to correlate the performance of their Java applications running on z/OS with the performance of the rest of the workload on the mainframe, so that they can quickly fine-tune and configure the z/OS mainframe environment and better ensure superior application performance," said Steve Tucker, Wily vice president of product management. "Wily's suite of Java management products for the mainframe -- Introscope, Introscope SQL Agent, and Introscope PowerPacks for IBM WebSphere on z/OS and OS/390, CICS Transaction Gateway and WebSphere MQ -- combined with Introscope's recently announced management support for IBM CICS Transaction server, provide the most robust management solution available for organizations deploying Java applications on the IBM mainframe."
Introscope PowerPack for IBM z/OS is an extension of Introscope, Wily's comprehensive Enterprise Java Application Management solution. Introscope monitors the performance of live production Java applications and pinpoints the exact cause of performance bottlenecks down to the component level whether inside the application itself or in the connection to back-end transactional and supporting systems. Introscope allows IT staff to better ensure high Java application performance in each stage of the application lifecycle and gives them the ability to quickly isolate and resolve performance issues when they arise. Introscope provides a common language that operations, QA and development personnel can use to proactively maintain application performance and availability.
