Poem: Reflections on the Hilltop

In twilight's hush, where shadows dance and play,
A figure sits, lost in reverie's sway.
The hilltop's gentle slope, a canvas wide,
Unfurls before them, like an open tide.
Purple shawls, a cloak of mystery and might,
Wrap round their form, as if to hold the light.
Blue veils, a misty veil, that hides the face,
Yet beckons forth, to some secret, sacred place.
The valley below, a tapestry so fine,
Weaves threads of fog, in an ethereal design.
Trees stand sentinel, like sentries of old,
Guarding the hilltop's secrets, tales untold.
In this still moment, time stands still and true,
As one reflects on life, and all it holds anew.
