7-channel weather/hazard alert radio with SAME technology. LCD screen indicates channel and 8-character warning messages such as tornado. 3 levels of warning lights (statement, watch, and warning). Battery backup for power outages. Supplied with telescopic antenna and power supply. The Midland 74-200 provides instant weather/hazard information 24 hours a day. The unit is equipped with the SAME encoder, which can help eliminate false alarms. This encoder allows the user to specify the geographic area that they want to receive alerts for. The 74-200's digital front panel can display up to 56 messages, specifying different types of alerts. Three LED lights offer easy reference for current alert status. Nine-volt battery backup (battery not included) allows usage during power outages, and the 74-200 has jacks for an external antenna, 12-volt power source, or other accessories.
