Garmin eTrex Venture GPS - The Garmin eTrex Venture GPS receiver adds a database of world cities and 1 MB of memory to Garmin's popular eTrex model. Housed in a translucent green case, this powerful 12-parallel-channel, global positioning satellite receiver weighs only 5.3 ounces and measures 4.4 by 2 inches. It literally fits in the palm of your hand. To make your GPS unit more useful, the Venture's 1 MB memory enables you to download waypoints information such as restaurants, hotels, shopping, and entertainment from Garmin's MapSource CD-ROM. Once the information is loaded into the unit, you can make a selection and telephone and address information for a particular destination appears on the screen. Address and business listings are displayed with data downloads. The Venture has a front-panel rocker switch that allows for quick and accurate map panning.
