Chin Daiko, a group that plays Taiko drums, will perform on Friday and Saturday at this year's Matsuri at Otakon 2017. They will also play at Otakon's opening ceremonies.
Chin Daiko has been teaching and demonstrating Okinawa Eisa since 2010. Eisa is a combination of Karate, dance and Taiko. They have performed for the Japanese ambassador, the Washington, D.C. mayor, other dignitaries, and different organizations in locations ranging from New Jersey to Virginia Beach. Chin Daiko believe and teach the concept of peace through understanding each other's culture.
