"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me." --John 14:1 Sometimes it's hard to believe in God; and even harder to believe in Jesus. There's much in life that mitigates against belief. It's not that we don't want to believe. In fact, every atom of our being longs to believe, longs to trust that Something, Someone bigger than us is not only looking out for our welfare, but is controlling the outcome of our final destiny. Even though our longing is intense, our power of logic is so strong that it often overrides that deep desire that flows surely and certainly through the empty channels of our soul. We hear the questions in our mind, "Since we can't see God, how can we be sure God exists? If God does exist, why is the world and my life in such trouble? Why doesn't God still the churning pot of life? Why doesn't God calm hearts that rage like an ocean tide out of control?" Yes, we question, we doubt, we wonder. Then, suddenly we are alone but we know we are not alone. It seems as though a fine thread of hope has slid through all of our mental machinations right into the uneven fabric of our hearts. Perhaps it is the warm sun that parts the threatening clouds, or it is the surprise of seeing a 'touch-me-if-you-can' full moon, or the sight of a newborn puppy, or watching the tenderness of someone caring for a person they don't even know. All at once we are flooded with hope and belief. The anguish of life and the quandary of unbelief disappears and in that moment we believe - we believe because we have seen and felt - we have seen and felt the presence of the One who looks out for our welfare and controls the outcome of our final destiny. Jesus, how shall I believe in you? There are so many opinions, conceptions and ideas of you. Are you who you are portrayed to be? Speak to my troubled heart - I am listening. PS

Dear Heart of Jesus, in the past I have asked you for many favors, this time I ask for one (please heal my dear Mom completely). Take it dear Jesus and place it with Your own brokenheart Heart where Your Father will see it, then in His Eyes it will become Your favor not mine.
I gaze upon You, O Most Sweet Redeemer, dressed in a mantle of purple. It is Your royal attire. How it speaks to me of blood! That Blood which You have shed solely on my account. Grant, O Child Jesus that I may respond to Your great sacrifice and not refuse when You offer me some difficulty to suffer with You and for You. Our Father...Hail Mary...Glory Be... By your Divine Infancy, O! Jesus, grant the grace that I now ask (To let me be a Mother. To let me have a child. a healthy loving normal child)if is according to Your will and for my true good. Do not look upon my unworthiness, but rather on my faith and show me Your infinite mercy. Amen.Thank You Infant Jesus. Amen.vc
Oh God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry; when I have work, help me remember the jobless; when I have a warm home, help me to remember the homeless; when I without pain, help me to remember those who suffer; And in remembering, help me, to destroy my complancency and bestir my compassion. Make me concerned enough to help, by word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. Amen
Oh my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul, becauseyou are all good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you . I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.Amen.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,I have asked You for many favors, but I plead for this one. Take it, place it in Your Open Broken Heart, and when the Eternal Father sees it covered with the Mantel of Your Most Precious Blood, He will not refuse it. It is not my prayer, but Thine, O Jesus. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on me and grant me this request(here make your request)

"Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch." -- Luke 5:4 An exhausted body and empty net were Peter's only results after toiling all night. Tired and spent, he must have felt somewhat annoyed with Jesus' request, "Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch." Peter had to learn how to live on the edge of miracle. When our lives feel fruitless, when we are too tired to trudge on, when the problems of life seem too complex, Jesus calls us to step into a place of faith. To "put out into the deep . . . " To trust even though we cannot see. To believe even though we cannot plan, control or manipulate circumstances. To become so vulnerable that all could be lost. To rely on Jesus even when sense becomes senseless, and meaning becomes meaningless. Most of us would rather have the path clear before us. We would like to know how it'all going to turn out. We would like to know what steps to take to achieve our purpose or goal. But that is human cleverness, not faith. To see miracles, we need to put out into the deep, spread out our nets and see what God will do because we have trusted. Lord, help me step into that place of faith where your grace is beyond my imagining and miracles are commonplace. PS
One of the greatest gifts Jesus gave to his disciples is the gift of peace, not as the world gives, but a peace that will allow our hearts freedom from fear and anxiety; a peace and serenity that comes from knowing the merciful goodness of God. A peace that allows us to freely give of ourselves to others. PS

THE POWER OF THE HOLY NAME OF JESUS The name of Jesus is the shortest, simplest and and most effective of all prayers. Anyone can pronounce it even at work or at play. Our Lord promised us that all we shall ask in the Father's name we would receive (as long it is for his glory and good of our soul). Each time we repeat the name of Jesus with reverence we give glory to God and we receive innumerable blessings. It consoles even the saddest of hearts and fortifies the weakest of sinners. The Holy name of Jesus saves us from numerous dangers and misfortunes. It helps us defeat temptations and liberates us from the devil, who is constantly attacking us. The Holy name of Jesus fills our souls with peace and joy and fortifies us to support our trials and sufferings with patience and resignation. We should thus make it a continual habit to pronounce his name while we work or at home, in sad times or happy moments. We shall thus have in our hands an immense treasure for the rest of our lives.

Feastday: July 12 - St. John Gaulbert, Abbot, pray for us !!!!! Saint John Gaulbert, Abbot - Feast day is July 12th The city of Florence gave to the world Saint John Gaulbert. Although he enjoyed the benefits of an early Christian education, his youthful heart was soon attracted to the vanities of the world. A painful incident was the means God made use of, to open his eyes. Hugo, his only brother, had been murdered and St. John had resolved to avenge his death. On a certain Good Friday he met his enemy in a place where there was no escape for the latter. St. John drew his sword and would have killed his adversary on the spot, but the latter threw himself on his knees begging him by the passion of Jesus Christ to spare his life. St. John was touched at the words, embraced his enemy, entered a church and prayed with many tears for the pardon of his sins. He now entered the Order of St. Benedict, in which he made such great progress in virtue that after the death of the Abbot, the monks wished to impose this dignity upon him, but the Saint absolutely refused to accept it. Sometime later, he left the monastery with one companion in quest of greater solitude. Having visited the hermitage of Camaldoli, he finally settled at Valle Ombrosa in Tuscany. Together with two hermits whom he found there, he and his companions built a small monastery, observing the primitive rule of St. Benedict. Thus was laid the foundation of the Order of Vallombrosa. The humility of the saint was such that he would never be promoted, even to Minor Orders. His charity for the poor caused him to make a rule that no indigent person should be sent away without an alms. He founded several monasteries, reformed others, and succeeded in eradicating the vice of simony from the part of the country where he lived. He died on July 12, 1073, at about 80 years of age.
JULY 13 ST. HENRY PRAY FOR US!!!!!! ST. HENRY - PATRON OF THE CHILDLESS, of Dukes, of the handicapped and those rejected by Religious Order St. Henry, son of Henry, Duke of Bavaria, and of Gisella, daughter of Conrad, King of Burgundy, was born in 972. He received an excellent education under the care of St. Wolfgang, Bishop of Ratisbon. In 995, St. Henry succeeded his father as Duke of Bavaria, and in 1002, upon the death of his cousin, Otho III, he was elected emperor. Firmly anchored upon the great eternal truths, which the practice of meditation kept alive in his heart, he was not elated by this dignity and sought in all things, the greater glory of God. He was most watchful over the welfare of the Church and exerted his zeal for the maintenance of ecclesiastical discipline through the instrumentality of the Bishops. He gained several victories over his enemies, both at home and abroad, but he used these with great moderation and clemency. In 1014, he went to Rome and received the imperial crown at the hands of Pope Benedict VIII. On that occasion he confirmed the donation, made by his predecessors to the Pope, of the sovereignty of Rome and the exarchate of Ravenna. Circumstances several times drove the holy Emperor into war, from which he always came forth victorious. He led an army to the south of Italy against the Saracens and their allies, the Greeks, and drove them from the country. The humility and spirit of justice of the Saint were equal to his zeal for religion. He cast himself at the feet of Herebert, Bishop of Cologne, and begged his pardon for having treated him with coldness, on account of a misunderstanding. He wished to abdicate and retire into a monastery, but yielded to the advice of the Abbot of Verdun, and retained his dignity. Both he and his wife, St. Cunegundes, lived in perpetual chastity, to which they had bound themselves by vow. The Saint made numerous pious foundations, gave liberally to pious institutions and built the Cathedral of Bamberg. His holy death occurred at the castle of Grone, near Halberstad, in 1024. His feast day is July 13th. He is the patron saint of the childless, of Dukes, of the handicapped and those rejected by Religious Order.

PURGATORY - A place and state of temporary punishment in the next world. the souls in purgatory cannot help themselves. We should help them by our prayers, penances, sacrifices and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for them. The Holy Souls Will Repay Us a ThousandTimes Over. When they are finally released from their pains and enjoy the beatitude of Heaven, far from forgetting their friends on earth, their gratitude knows no bounds.Prostate before the Throne of God they never cease to pray for those who have helped them. By their prayers they shield their friends from the dangers and protect them from the evils that threaten them. They will never cease these prayers until they see their benefactors safely in Heaven
HEAVEN - The place of perfect happiness in the next world. Only those who have sanctifying grace in their souls at the moment of death will go to heaven. Dying with mortal sins on your soul will keep you from getting into Heaven.
HELL - is a place of eternal or everlasting punishment. It is where the souls of the damned are condemned to suffer forever with the devils. Those who die with mortal sins on their souls, that is, without the sanctifying grace. It is a place of everlasting punishment where there is separation from God, torture by fire, regret and the companionship of the devils
Ever blessed and glorious Joseph, kind and loving father, and helpful friend of all in sorrow! You are the good father and protector of orphans, the defender of the defenseless, the patron of those in need and sorrow. Look kindly on my request. My sins have drawn down on me the just displeasure of my God, and so I am surrounded with unhappiness. To you, loving guardian of the Family of Nazareth, do I go for help and protection. Listen, then, I beg you, with fatherly concern, to my earnest prayers, and obtain for me the favors I ask. I ask it by the infinite mercy of the eternal Son of God, which moved Him to take our nature and to be born into this world of sorrow. I ask it by the weariness and suffering you endured when you found no shelter at the inn of Bethlehem for the holy Virgin, nor a house where the Son of God could be born. Then, being everywhere refused, you had to allow the Queen of Heaven to give birth to the world's Redeemer in a cave. I ask it by that painful torture you felt at the prophecy of holy Simeon, which declared the Child Jesus and His holy Mother future victims of our sins and of their great love for us. I ask it through your sorrow and pain of soul when the angel declared to you that the life of the Child Jesus was sought by His enemies. From their evil plan you had to flee with Him and His Blessed Mother to Egypt. I ask it by all the suffering, weariness, and labors of that long and dangerous journey. I ask it by all your care to protect the Sacred Child and His Immaculate Mother during your second journey, when you were ordered to return to your own country. I ask it by your peaceful life in Nazareth where you met with so many joys and sorrows. I ask it by your great distress when the adorable Child was lost to you and His Mother for three days. I ask it by your joy at finding Him in the Temple, and by the comfort you found at Nazareth, while living in the company of the Child Jesus. I ask it by the wonderful submission He showed in His obedience to you. I ask it by the perfect love and conformity you showed in accepting the Divine order to depart from this life, and from the company of Jesus and Mary. I ask it by the joy which filled your soul, when the Redeemer of the world, triumphant over death and hell, entered into the possession of His kingdom and led you into it with special honors. I ask it through Mary's glorious Assumption, and through that endless happiness you have with her in the presence of God. O good father! I beg you, by all your sufferings, sorrows, and joys, to hear me and obtain for me what I ask. (make your request) Obtain for all those who have asked my prayers everything that is useful to them in the plan of God. Finally, my dear patron and father, be with me and all who are dear to me in our last moments, that we may eternally sing the praises of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
Pray for us, O most sorrowful Virgin. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us Pray Lord Jesus, we now implore, both for the present and for the hour of our death, the intercession of the most Blessed Virgin Mary, Thy Mother, whose holy soul was pierced at the time of Thy passion by a sword of grief. Grant us this favor, O Savior of the world, Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen. THE PROPHECY OF SEMEON. Mary and Joseph took the Child Jesus to the Temple. Simeon, inspired by the Holy Spirit, met them and told Joseph and Mary of the great sufferings of Jesus and Mary. He told Mary that a sword would pierce her heart. How great was the shock to Mary's heart at hearing the sorrowful words. Dear Mary, obtain for me a true sorrow for my sins. THE FLIGHT INTO EGYPT The angel told Joseph to flee with Mary and the Child Jesus because of what might happen to Jesus. Consider the sorrow of Mother Mary when she and Joseph had to suddenly flee by night to protect child Jesus in that land of exile.
THE LOSS OF THE CHILD JESUS IN THEMPLE How dread was the grief of Mary when she realized the Child Jesus was not with them. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the Child Jesus. MARY MEETS JESUS CARRYING HIS CROSS Mary meets Jesus, with the crown of thorns adorned His head! Blood ran down His face! A heavy cross on His back! Wounded, His whole body covered with bleeding wounds! Consider, the tremendous grief of Mother Mary as their eyes met. Seven Hail Mary. THE CRUCIFIXION The Sorrow of the Mother seeing her beloved Son cruelly nailed to the cross. She stood at the foot of the cross. Behold Thy Mother! Let us resolve always to look upon Mary as our Mother and remember that she never fails her children. MARY RECEIVED THE BODY OF JESUS FROM THE CROSS Ponder the bitter sorrow of Mary when the body of her dear Son was lowered from the cross and placed in her arms. Her Heart was pierced with a sword and His Heart was pierced with a lance. O mournful Mother, our hearts are softened with sorrow upon seeing such affliction.
her for greater grief: but though she did not die, her sorrow was enough to have caused her a thousand deaths.
The most sorrowful Mother," says Saint Bernard, "met her most sorrowful Son." While Mary was waiting in that place, how much must she have heard said by the Jews, who soon recognised her, against her beloved Son, and perhaps even words of mocking against herself. Alas, what a scene of sorrows then presented itself before her! The nails, the hammers, the cords, the fatal instruments of the death of her Son, all of which were borne before Him. And what a sword must the sound of that trumpet have been to her heart, which proclaimed the sentence pronounced against her Jesus! But behold, the instruments, the trumpeter, and the executioners, have already passed; she raised her eyes, and saw, O God ! a young man covered with blood and wounds from head to foot, a wreath of thorns on His head, and two heavy beams on His shoulders. She looked at Him, and hardly recognised Him, saying, with Isaiah, "and we have seen Him, and there was no sightliness.'' Yes, for the wounds, the bruises, and the clotted blood, gave Him the appearance of a leper: "we have thought Him as it were a leper," so that He could no longer be known: "and His look was, as it were, hidden and despised; whereupon we esteemed Him not." But at length love revealed Him to her, and as soon as she knew that it indeed was He, ah what love and fear must then have filled her heart! As Saint Peter of Alcantara says in his meditations. On the one hand she desired to behold Him, and on the other she dreaded so heart-rending a sight. At length they looked at each other. The Son wiped from His eyes the clotted blood, which, as it was revealed to Saint Bridget, prevented Him from seeing, and looked at His Mother, and the Mother looked at her Son. Ah, looks of bitter grief, which, as so many arrows, pierced through and through those two beautiful and loving souls. When Margaret, the daughter of Sir Thomas More, met her father on his way to death, she could only exclaim, "O father! father!" and fell fainting at his feet. Mary, at the sight of her Son, on His way to Calvary, did not faint, no, for it was not becoming, as Father Suarez remarks, that this Mother should lose the use of her reason; nor did she die, for God reserved
ST. MICHAEL O Glorious Archangel St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil. Come to the aid of man, whom God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist Thee, nor was there place for them any longer in heaven. That cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan, who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men, of his depraved mind, corrupt heart, spirit of lying, impiety, blasphemy, his pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity. These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the Spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered. Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory. They venerate Thee as their protector and patron; in Thee Holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious power of hell; to Thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude. Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, do Thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, your passion and death is the sacrifice that unites earth and heaven and reconciles all people to you. May we who have faithfully reflected on these mysteries follow in your steps and so come to share your glory in heaven where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit one God, for ever and ever.Amen.
Opening Prayer: God of power and mercy, in love your sent your Son that we might be cleansed of sin and live with you forever. Bless us as we gather to reflect on his suffering and death that we may learn from his example the way we should go. We ask this through that same Christ, our Lord. Amen. First Station: Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." He took along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to feel sorrow and distress. Then he said to them, "My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch with me." He advanced a little and fell prostrate in prayer, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will." When he returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 25:36-41 Lord, grant us your strength and wisdom, that we may seek to follow your will in all things Second Station: Jesus, Betrayed by Judas, is Arrested Then, while [Jesus] was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs, who had come from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. His betrayer had arranged a signal with them, saying, "the man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him and lead him away securely." He came and immediately went over to him and said, "Rabbi." And he kissed him. At this they laid hands on him and arrested him. Mark 14: 43-46 Lord, grant us the courage of our convictions that our lives may faithfully reflect the good news you bring.
Third Station: Jesus is Condemned by the Sanhedrin When day came the council of elders of the people met, both chief priests and scribes, and they brought him before their Sanhedrin. They said, "If you are the Messiah, tell us," but he replied to them, "If I tell you, you will not believe, and if I question, you will not respond. But from this time on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God." They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He replied to them, "You say that I am." Then they said, "What further need have we for testimony? We have heard it from his own mouth." Luke 22: 66-71 Lord, grant us your sense of righteousness that we may never cease to work to bring about the justice of the kingdom that you promised. Fourth Station: Jesus is Denied by Peter Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. One of the maids came over to him and said, "You too were with Jesus the Galilean." But he denied it in front of everyone, saying, "I do not know what you are talking about!" As he went out to the gate, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, "This man was with Jesus the Nazorean." Again he denied it with an oath, "I do not know the man!" A little later the bystanders came over and said to Peter, "Surely you too are one of them; even your speech gives you away." At that he began to curse and to swear, "I do not know the man." And immediately a cock crowed. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken: "Before the cock crows you will deny me three times." He went out and began to weep bitterly. Matthew 26: 69-75 Lord, grant us the gift of honesty that we may not fear to speak the truth even when difficult.
Fifth Station: Jesus is Judged by Pilate The chief priests with the elders and the scribes, that is, the whole Sanhedrin, held a council. They bound Jesus, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate. Pilate questioned him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" He said to him in reply, "You say so." The chief priests accused him of many things. Again Pilate questioned him, "Have you no answer? See how many things they accuse you of." Jesus gave him no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.... Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released Barrabas... [and] handed [Jesus] over to be crucified. Mark 15: 1-5, 15 Lord, grant us discernment that we may see as you see, not as the world sees. Sixth Station: Jesus is Scourged and Crowned with Thorns Pilate took Jesus and had him scourged. And the soldiers wove a crown out of thorns and placed it on his head, and clothed him in a purple cloak, and they came to him and said,"Hail, King of the Jews!" And they struck him repeatedly. John 19: 1-3 Lord, grant us patience in times of suffering that we may offer our lives as a sacrifice of praise. Seventh Station: Jesus Bears the Cross When the chief priests and the guards saw [Jesus] they cried out, "Crucify him, crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves and crucify him. I find no guilt in him." ... They cried out, "Take him away, take him away! Crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your king?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." Then he handed him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus, and carrying the cross himself he went out to what is called the Place of the Skull, in Hebrew, Golgotha. John 19: 6, 15-17 Lord, grant us strength of purposethat we may faithfully bear our crosses each day. Jesus falls the first time under His Cross. Consider this first fall of Jesus under His Cross. His flesh was torn by the scourges, his head was crowned with thorns; he had lost a great quantity of blood. So weakened he could hardly walk. Yet he had to carry this great load upon his shoulders. The soldiers struck him rudely, and he fell several times.
Eighth Station: Jesus is Helped by Simon the Cyrenian to Carry the Cross They pressed into service a passer-by, Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross. Mark 15: 21 Lord, grant us willing spirits that we may be your instruments on earth. Veronica wipes the face of Jesus. Consider how the holy woman named Veronica, seeing Jesus so ill-used and bathed in sweat and blood, wiped His face with a towel, on which was left the impression of His holy countenance. Jesus falls the second time. Consider the second fall of Jesus under the Cross; a fall which renews the pain of all the wounds in his head and members. "I am a worm and not a man . . . the laughingstock of the mob Ninth Station: Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem A large crowd of people followed Jesus, including many women who mourned and lamented him. Jesus turned to them and said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children, for indeed, the days are coming when people will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.' At that time, people will say to the mountains, 'Fall upon us!' and to the hills, 'Cover us!' for if these things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?" Luke 23: 27-31 Lord, grant us gentle spirits that we may comfort those who mourn. Jesus falls for the third time. Consider the third fall of Jesus. His weakness was extreme, and the cruelty of His executioners excessive. They try to hasten His steps when He can hardly move.
Jesus is stripped of His garments. Consider the violence with which Jesus was stripped by His executioners when they came to the place called the Skull. His inner garments adhered to His torn flesh, and they dragged them off so roughly that the skin came with them. "See I come to do your will Tenth Station: Jesus is Crucified Consider how Jesus, having been placed on the Cross, extended His hands and offered to His Eternal Father the sacrifice of His life for our salvation. The soldiers fastened Him with nails, and then hoisted Him up with the two criminals , one on his right, the other on his left. [Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do."] Luke 23: 33-34 Lord, grant us merciful hearts that we may bring your reconciliation and forgiveness to all. Eleventh Station: Jesus Promises His Kingdom to the Good Thief Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying, "Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us." The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, "Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." He replied to him, "Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." Luke 23: 39-43 Lord, grant us perseverance that we may never stop seeking you.
Twelfth Station: Jesus Speaks to His Mother and the Disciple Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.John 19: 25-27 Lord, grant us constancy that we may be willing to stand by those in need. Thirteenth Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon because of an eclipse of the sun. Then the veil of the temple was torn down the middle. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit"; and when he had said this he breathed his last.Luke 23: 44-46 Consider how Jesus, being consumed with anguish after three hours agony on the Cross, abandoned Himself to the weight of His body, bowed His head and died Lord, grant us trust in youthat when our time on earth in endedour spirits may come to you without delay.
Jesus is taken down from the Cross. Consider how, after our Lord had died, two of His disciples, Joseph and Nicodemus, took Him down from the Cross and placed Him in the arms of His afflicted Mother, who received Him with unutterable tenderness, and pressed Him to Her bosom Fourteenth Station: Jesus is Placed in the Tomb When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea named Joseph, who was himself a disciple of Jesus. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus; then Pilate ordered it to be handed over. Taking the body, Joseph wrapped it [in] clean linen and laid it in his new tomb that he had hewn in the rock. Jesus is placed in the tomb. Consider how the disciples, accompanied by His Mother, carried His body to bury it. Then he rolled a huge stone across the entrance to the tomb and and all came sorrowfully away. Matthew 27: 57-60 Lord, grant us your compassion that we may always provide for those in need.
My God, I offer You all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings in union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, for the intentions for which He pleads and offers Himself in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in thanksgiving for Your favors, in reparation for my sins, and in humble supplication for my temporal and eternal welfare, for the needs of our holy Mother the Church, for the conversion of sinners, and for the relief of the poor souls in purgatory

GOD OF GOODNESS AND MERCY, we commend to Thy all-powerful protection ourselves, our families, relatives, friends, all your creatures, our homes and households and all that we possess. Bless us all as You blessed the Holy Family of Nazareth. -Father, we acknowledge your greatness; all your actions shows your wisdom and love. You formed us in your own likeness and set us over the whole world to serve you, our Creator, and to rule over all creatures. Even when we disobeyed you, and lost your friendship, you did not abandon us to the power of death, but helped all of us to seek and find You. Again and again You offered a covenant to us, and through the prophets taught us to hope for salvation. -Father, You so loved the world that in the fullness of time you sent your only Son to be our Savior. He was conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, a creature like us in all things but sin. To the poor, LORD JESUS proclaimed the good news of salvation, and to those in sorrow, joy. -In fulfillment of Your will, He gave himself up to death but by rising from the dead, He destroyed death and restored life. And that we might live no longer for ourselves but for Him, He sent the Holy Spirit from You, Father, as his first gift to those who believe, to complete His work on earth and to bring us the fullness of grace. - God, on the first Pentecost, You instructed the hearts of those who believed in You by the light of the Holy Spirit; under the inspiration of the same Spirit, give us a taste for what is right and true and a continuing sense of His presence and power; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, by the will of the Father and the work of the Holy Spirit, Your death brought life to the world. By Your holy body and blood, free us from all our sins and from every evil. Keep us faithful to Your teaching and never let us be parted from You. -O Jesus, our most Holy Redeemer, by the love which Thou didst become man in order to save us, by the mercy through which that Thou didst die for us upon the Cross, bless us, protect us.Most blessed Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, may You ever dwell within us and among us. In Your mercy conform all people to Your image and likeness, and transform all Your creation according to Your holy Will. Most blessed Trinity, Triune God, preserve and protect all that You have created, sustained, redeemed, and sanctified. Keep us all, we ask You, from evil. May Your all-holy purpose be speedily accomplished, and may we share forever the glory of the place You have in love prepared for us. Amen. 0 God, come to our assistance, Lord, make haste to help us
