O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before Throne of god I place in you all my interests and desires. O St.joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all your spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engage here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and homeage to the most Loving of our Fathers.O St. Joseph, I never weary comtemplationg you and jesus asleeping in your arms. Idare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss his dear head for me, and ask Him return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. O God of goodness and mercy, to Thy fatherly guidance we commend our family, our household and all our belongings. St. Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste husband of Mary, you passed your life in loving fulfillment of duty. You supported the holy family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly come to you. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes. They look to you because they know you will understand and protect them. You too knew trial, labor and weariness. But amid the worries of material life your soul was full of deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with God's Son entrusted to you and with Mary, his tender Mother. St. Therese sends her roses in many ways, usually unexpected. You can receive a real rose, an artificial rose, something with a rose on it, or even just the scent of roses. The key is that the rose doesn't come from an expected source. If you work in a florist's shop or paint roses on china, that doesn't count. :-) St. Therese has quite a sense of humor about the roses: once someone gave me an antique milk glass box with a rose and the word "Therese" painted on it in gold. Therese isn't my name or any part of it, and there was no reason for someone to give it to me except that they knew I like antiques and thought of me when they saw the box. As we go into the Christmas time of year this is a prayer of Mary's Christmas Dream. I had a dream Joseph. I don't understand it, not really but I think it was about a birthday celebration for our Son. I think that was what it was all about. The people had been preparing for it for aabout six weeks. They had decorated the house and bought new clothes. They'd gone shopping many times and bought elaborate gifts. It was peculiar, though, because the presents weren't for our Son. They wrapped them in beautiful paper and tied them with lovely bows and stacked them under a tree. Yes, a tree, Joseph, right in their house. They'd decorated the tree also. The branches were full of glowing balls and sparkling ornaments. There was a figure on the top of the tree. It looked like an angel might look. Oh, it was beautiful. Everyone was laughing and happy. They were all excited about the gifts. They gave the gifts to each other, Joseph, not to our Son. I don't think they even knew Him. They neveer mentioned His name. Doesn't it seem odd for people to go to all that trouble to celebrate someone's birthday if they don't know Him. I had the strangest feeling that if our Son had gone to this celebration He would have been intruding. Everything was so beautiful, Joseph, and everyone so gay, but it made me want to cry. How sad for Jesus - not to be wanted at His own birthday party. I'm glad it was only a dream. How terrible, Joseph ,if it had been real. Author Unknown
