The stars of Laguna Beach will be featured in a Bongo multimedia advertising campaign. Alex Murrel, Jason Wahler, Lauren Conrad, Stephan Colletti, Kristin Cavallari, and Tallan Torriero will begin appearing in the print ads featuring Bongo. The campaign will appear in fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle magazines.
The campaign will feature both womens and mens products. Bongo recently launched its mens collection of jeans, tops, and footwear.
Dari Marder of Bongo explained the reason for the choice. "The Bongo demographic is the MTV viewer, so we could not think of a better way to reach our consumer. The concept behind the campaign is a party. So we rented an amazing mansion on PCH in Santa Monica, hired an Orange County band, and let the gang do what came naturally."
The campaign was shot by celebrity photographer Roxanne Lowitt and was created by the Iconix in-house marketing and creative team. The ads feature products that will be available in department and specialty stores. The campaign will also be featured online and in-store. The teens will make public appearances on behalf of the brand.
