Triton has been honored by the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) at their 2003 Annual Global ATM Industry Awards, walking away with two of the six awards presented including both Best ATM Technology categories.
The best selling ATM machine in the industry, Triton's 9100 was awarded the Best ATM Technology award for the stand alone category, and Triton's new Windows Intel XScale PC platform FT5000 was recognized with the award for Best ATM Technology in the through-the-wall category.
The awards recognized Triton's commitment to high-performance, reliable, and affordable solutions for both financial institution and retail markets. In announcing the FT5000 award, ATMIA stated, "Triton's first through-the-wall model represents a continuation of Triton's tradition of providing its customers with high quality cash-delivery systems with advanced functionality while maintaining a low cost of ownership."
Triton's new FT5000 incorporates cost-saving features like TCP/IP-based network communication and revenue generating features like couponing, advertising capabilities, and Triton Waves first suite of value-added services -- CashWorks check cashing, PaySpot prepaid wireless phone recharge, and Western Union Money Transfers. The ADA and Triple DES compliant FT5000 is fully weatherized and is perfectly suited for drive-up and walk-up installations.
In the best stand-alone technology category, ATMIA acknowledged some of the reasons for the popularity of Triton's 9100 ATM, which has sold more than 16,000 units since its 2002 introduction: The TDM-100, Triton's proprietary cash dispensing mechanism developed for the 9100, features automatic error recovery, which allows the mechanism to slow and adjust movement to fix a jam automatically without taking the ATM out of service. Its patent pending cabinet design increases integrity and security while making the unit easier and quicker to install. The 9100 was also Triton's first build-to-stock unit, which sliced the time it takes distributors to get the product into the hands of customers.
Commenting on the reasons for Triton's sweep of the Best Technology awards, Triton President Brian Kett said, "Triton's 10 year leadership in the off-premise ATM machines market coupled with the enthusiastic response to our new XScale PC platform product lines for both the financial institution and retail markets are a result of our dedication to incorporate the right technology to bring the most cost effective ATMs to today's market."
Another award winner was key Triton partner eFunds for Best Practice ATM Deployment in the Independent Sales Organization category.
Triton is the largest provider of off-premise ATMs and ATM management software in North America and has more than 95,000 installations in over 17 countries worldwide.
