FICTIONAL EXAMPLE
Variable: temperature, degrees Celsius, simultaneous readings.
Station: 24.8 C. Reference: 23.6 C.
Difference: 24.8 - 23.6 = +1.2 C.
A single difference does not establish a calibration error. Repeat under
different conditions and record the reference's suitability and limits.
