METER READING AND UTILITY-QUESTION LOG Yenra | https://yenra.com/wireless-water-meters/ Purpose: Interpret readings and document unexplained usage. Use only customer-accessible readings under utility instructions. Leave seals, communications equipment and meter work to the utility. ACCOUNT AND SYSTEM Utility; contact; account reference (keep private): Meter identifier; meter replacement date if applicable: Reading units and multiplier; cumulative/interval/flow-rate: Recording interval; transmission interval; portal update delay: Graph time zone; missing/estimated data treatment: Bill start/end dates and service days: READING (copy per entry) Date/time/time zone; meter or portal source: Reading and units; actual or estimated: Screenshot/photo filename: Occupancy, irrigation and automatic water users: Known event or suspected unexplained use: PERIOD CALCULATION Later cumulative reading - earlier reading = volume in meter units. Convert only using the utility's stated unit and multiplier. Volume / service days = average daily use. FICTIONAL EXAMPLE: 1248 - 1240 = 8 CCF in exactly 30 days. At approximately 748 US gallons per CCF: 5984 US gallons total, 5984 / 30 = approximately 199.5 US gallons/day. This is a volume example, not a tariff or current household benchmark. QUIET-PERIOD OBSERVATION EPA suggests readings before/after two hours with no water being used. Record start/end, readings, automatic uses and any interruptions. A reading change indicates probable leakage; it does not locate a cause. Follow utility access guidance and get qualified help as needed. UTILITY QUESTIONS Are dates, meter identity, units and estimates correct? Were readings corrected or gaps filled? What delay does the portal have? What investigation process applies to unexplained consumption?
