Supplier meeting and sample-trial brief
Use one sheet per application and candidate. Agree technical requirements and suitable use levels with your team. Keep this sheet with the specification and labeled sample; it records a screening trial, not product approval.

| Input | Your trial |
|---|---|
| Final batch mass (g) | ________________ |
| Use rate (% of final mass) | ________________ |
| Ingredient per batch (g) | ________________ |
| Number of repeated batches | ________________ |
| Handling allowance (%) | ________________ |
| Total sample request (g) | ________________ |
Formula: ingredient grams = final batch grams × use rate ÷ 100. Multiply by repetitions and by (1 + allowance ÷ 100).
Hypothetical example: 2,000 g × 0.5% = 10 g; three repeats plus 20% allowance = 36 g per candidate. Two candidates = 72 g. Account for the ingredient within the fixed final mass. Prepare the baseline control separately.

Use rate above is an arithmetic example, not a formulation recommendation. Shelf life, safety and market-specific requirements need separate qualified review. Guidance: Yenra food ingredient conference guide.
