VOICE QUALITY TEST LOG Yenra | September 7, 2026 Guide: https://yenra.com/voice-quality-measurement-software/ Use only for systems you are authorized to investigate. Use ordinary calls to consenting colleagues or an approved test service. Obtain permission before capturing traffic/audio; follow organizational access and retention rules. Duplicate the blank record for each condition. Change one variable at a time. BLANK RECORD Date/time/time zone: ________________ Investigator: ____________________ Call ID (store securely): ___________ Test duration (seconds): __________ Endpoint, hardware, OS, app/firmware: ____________________________________ Microphone/headset/speaker and mute status: ______________________________ Network/location (wired/Wi-Fi/etc.): _____________________________________ Other workload and relevant conditions: _________________________________ Symptom / who heard it / start-end time: _________________________________ Local audio test result: ________________________________________________ Metric source/tool/version: __________ Receiver/edge/capture point: ______ Direction (sender -> receiver): _________________________________________ Codec / packet interval if known / stream identity: _____________________ Analysis interval and expected-packet method: ___________________________ Expected packets: ____ Reported missing: ____ Loss percent: ____________ Jitter mean (ms): ____ Max (ms): ____ Definition/window: _______________ Delay or RTT (ms): ____ Which one? ____ Between which points? ___________ MOS/estimate: ____ Method/model/scale: ____ Available audio levels: _____ Capture drops/sampling/coverage limitations: _____________________________ Listener report: _______________________________________________________ Changed condition relative to previous test: ____________________________ Result and remaining uncertainty: ______________________________________ Next action / owner / support ticket: ___________________________________ FICTIONAL WORKED EXAMPLE (not thresholds or provider results) Continuous stream, 20 ms per packet, no silence suppression, full 120-second receiver interval. Expected count = 120 * 50 = 6,000 packets. Condition A: Wi-Fi, normal workload, missing 180/6,000 = 3.0%. Mean/max jitter 18/72 ms. Receiver reports several missing words. Condition B: wired, same endpoint and workload, missing 6/6,000 = 0.1%. Mean/max jitter 3/12 ms. Receiver reports continuous speech. Interpretation: investigate local wireless conditions next, then repeat. The comparison does not prove a defective access point. These values are not universal pass/fail targets. Use actual stream accounting for real tests. ESCALATION PACKAGE Include timestamp/time zone, call ID, direction, device and network context, symptom interval, defined metrics and controlled-comparison results. State which path segment you observed. Share captures only through approved channels. After a change, repeat the original scenario and a representative busy period; check both listener experience and the same metrics before closing the issue.
