PLANT-FLOOR MATERIAL VISIBILITY: TRACK AND RECONCILE WIP

Purpose: define a small material-tracking pilot and reconcile its event ledger with stock.
Use one material route first. Keep material and container identities separate; define quantity units and what each event changes before configuring reports. Mark unknowns and assign an exception owner.

FICTIONAL RECONCILIATION (pieces, teaching ledger; not an EPCIS payload)
Initial lot 100. Move all 100 to buffer: location changes, total remains 100.
Consume 30; scrap 2. Expected physical stock = 100 - 30 - 2 = 68.
Controlled count = 58; observed minus expected = -10.
Evidence finds a further 10-piece consumption at 10:15, received at 11:00.
Apply that previously unrecorded event once: 100 - 30 - 2 - 10 = 58.
Do not combine an unexplained overwrite with a later duplicate consumption.
