Include compute, storage, snapshots/backup, transfer, addresses/gateways,
request fees, software, support, commitments, and temporary migration overlap.
Use consistent storage units; record whether GB is decimal or binary.
Record any taxes, allowances, discounts, and omitted items separately.

FICTIONAL EXAMPLE - invented rates, 30-day month
Compute: 2 machines x 6 hours/day x 20 days x $0.12/machine-hour = $28.80
Storage: 100 GB for the full month x $0.08/GB-month = $8.00
Transfer: 40 billable GB x $0.05/GB = $2.00
Scheduled total = $38.80
Continuous compute: 2 x 24 x 30 x $0.12 = $172.80
Continuous total with the same storage and transfer = $182.80
Omitted: taxes, licenses, backup, support, request fees, commitments,
allowances, and minimum-duration effects. These are not provider quotations.
