# Nanotechnology research-reading record

Use one copy for one research claim. Read the paper or primary research account alongside the announcement. Fill in details after each colon; check a field once you have recorded an answer, including an explicit unknown or not-applicable answer. Check the final review statements only when confirmed.

In Obsidian, use Editing view to fill in your answers and Reading view to click the checkboxes. An ordinary Markdown or text editor also works. You can change the status property to `in-progress` or `complete` as your work progresses.

## Identify the claim

- [ ] Paper or announcement title:
- [ ] Authors or institution:
- [ ] Primary-source URL or DOI:
- [ ] Publication date and version:
- [ ] Corrections, updates or supplementary information checked:
- [ ] Claim in my own words:
- [ ] Material and sample form:
- [ ] Nanoscale feature and its size, with units:
- [ ] Intended reader question or practical application:

## Describe the evidence

Record whether the result comes from an experiment, simulation, theoretical model, review or proposed application. A study can contain several kinds of evidence; describe what each contributes.

- [ ] Evidence type and the claim it supports:
- [ ] Measured outcome and definition:
- [ ] Value, units and reported uncertainty or specimen variation:
- [ ] Comparator or control and why it is a fair comparison:
- [ ] Number of samples, repetitions or model cases:
- [ ] Relevant temperature, voltage, wavelength, loading or exposure conditions:
- [ ] Geometry, thickness or normalization assumptions:
- [ ] Main figure or table and what it actually shows:
- [ ] What the experiment establishes:
- [ ] What a simulation helps explain and its limitations:

## Interpret the result

Keep unlike measures separate. Strength, fracture toughness and flexibility describe different mechanical properties. Carrier multiplication, responsivity and energy-conversion efficiency describe different aspects of an optical device. Optical pump threshold and total electrical consumption also differ.

- [ ] The comparison I can make from this evidence:
- [ ] A comparison that would require more information:
- [ ] Proposed applications, separated from demonstrated outcomes:
- [ ] Manufacturing, repeatability or service-life questions:
- [ ] Relevant exposure, safety or regulatory questions for this exact use:
- [ ] Independent confirmation or conflicting evidence:
- [ ] Unresolved question and the source or measurement needed to resolve it:

## Complete the review

- [ ] Every numerical claim in my summary has a unit and a comparator where needed.
- [ ] My summary distinguishes measured, modeled and proposed outcomes.
- [ ] I checked whether a correction changes the result or its explanation.
- [ ] My conclusion stays within the conditions and evidence I recorded.

## My short conclusion
