Metadata mapping example — fictional data, version 1.0
Source guide: https://yenra.com/metadata-integration/
Requires Python 3.10+ standard library only. Review code, extract to a test folder,
then run python transform.py and python tests.py. No network or production files
are accessed. transform.py writes result.json beside the supplied files.
Expected first run: 4 inputs = 2 accepted + 2 rejected. The unknown topic and
impossible date are intentional. result.json preserves the accepted values and
rejection reasons. Correct 0014 to VISITS and 0015 to 2026-02-28 in a disposable
copy to obtain 4 accepted records. Preserve an original and log real corrections.
IDs are text. Subjects remain arrays. note=null means unknown; note="" means
explicitly empty. Only the stated sample vocabulary/languages/owner are accepted.
This is a bounded teaching example, not a production integration/security tool.
