YENRA — FIBER INSTALLATION CHECKLIST Updated October 5, 2026 Guide: https://yenra.com/ftth-fiber-to-the-home/ PURPOSE Use this text checklist with the provider before and after an installation. It is an appointment and acceptance aid, not a fiber-wiring procedure. Mark each item complete, pending or not applicable and retain your notes. ORDER [ ] Exact dwelling/unit confirmed serviceable in writing. [ ] Download and upload rates recorded separately. [ ] Installation, construction, equipment and recurring charges recorded. [ ] Appointment, property access and any landlord/building consent arranged. [ ] Contract, cancellation and equipment-return terms saved. [ ] Existing service transition planned after essential acceptance checks. Provider / plan / order date: Appointment / contact: Outstanding site or construction question: INSTALLATION PLAN [ ] Fiber entry and route agreed with the installer. [ ] ONT (optical network terminal), power supply and router identified. [ ] Accessible, protected, ventilated equipment locations discussed. [ ] Power and an Ethernet route to useful Wi-Fi locations available. [ ] Equipment ownership and support boundaries clarified. [ ] Backup-power purpose checked for the exact equipment and service. Leave optical connector work and elevated mounting to qualified installers. Follow model-specific instructions. Voice-only backup may not power Internet service. Local backup also depends on the provider network remaining live. Equipment models / locations / normal status indicators: Wiring route and property-restoration agreement: Backup-power question and provider answer: ACCEPTANCE [ ] Capable wired device tested at router LAN port. [ ] Negotiated port rate recorded, along with test method and time. [ ] Download and upload measured in Mbps; latency recorded in ms. [ ] Essential work applications tested. [ ] Wi-Fi tested where it will actually be used. [ ] Ordered voice/TV checked where applicable. [ ] Unresolved issues recorded with support ticket and next action. Test device / port rate / date / test server: Download Mbps / upload Mbps / latency ms: Room-by-room observations: Unresolved issue / ticket / next action: EXAMPLE A 1 Gb/s adapter caps the wired path below a fictional 2 Gb/s service before application overhead is considered. Check the whole path first. Source context: the guide links FCC address-availability instructions and Verizon installation/outage documentation as specific examples. Other providers and equipment can have different requirements. Recheck your order.
