EPA: lithium-ion batteries and devices containing them stay out of household
trash and curbside recycling. Use appropriate battery/electronics/HHW programs.
Do not force sealed devices apart. Consult manufacturer/collector for batteries
that are not readily removable or are damaged, including before shipping.
Keep phones and batteries out of soil and compost.
For a cover, verify exact material, home/industrial conditions, and local
acceptance. Plant-based ingredients alone do not specify a disposal route.
