PURPOSE
Compare wired, nearby Wi-Fi and problem-room performance using the same device
and test destination. Results include the internet path and test service; this
is not a laboratory measurement of the Wi-Fi radio alone.

BEFORE TESTING
Use your own network or obtain the owner's authorization. Keep required work
security settings in place. Note VPN use. Pause optional large transfers.
Use a router LAN port for Ethernet; turn off the test computer's Wi-Fi during
the wired baseline. Check that its Ethernet adapter and cable are suitable.
Run three readings per condition. Record all readings and take the median:
sort three numbers, then use the middle number. Leave unavailable metrics blank.
Speed: Mbps (megabits per second). Delay/jitter: ms. Packet loss: percent.
Use the exact names and directions shown by the measuring tool.

Office download change: 148/38 = approximately 3.9 times the earlier median.
Interpretation: the location/backhaul change helped in this invented case.
Next check: repeat at a busy time and verify the actual call/task.
