# Media-transfer checklist

Guide: https://yenra.com/drm/
Purpose: investigate one legitimate media transfer before moving a library. This worksheet does not establish a license entitlement.

## Inventory
- Item/provider:
- Account identifier (no password):
- Original file location and untouched backup:
- Working device, OS, player and versions:
- Destination device, OS, player and versions:
- Exact error and time (include timezone):

## Check each layer
1. Container and codec/profile: record tool output and supported-format documentation.
2. Protection system: record provider information and compatible player requirements.
3. License: record entitlement, supported device, expiry and offline conditions.
4. Service: record sign-in/authorization result and official service status.
5. Transfer route: record the documented re-download, authorization, export or restore instructions and source URL.

## Test and decision
- Expected outcome:
- Actual playback, seeking, subtitles/audio and documented offline result:
- Remaining failure and evidence:
- Supported next step, responsible person and date:

Example (fictional): copied training video produces a license-required error; provider documents tablet playback in its app; entitled sign-in and app download succeed. This is an illustration, not a claim about any provider.
