PRINT ORDER AND TEST WORKSHEET Yenra | Reviewed September 20, 2026 Guide: https://yenra.com/digital-photo-services/ Purpose: Prepare a print export and compare a small test order. Use the selected lab's current requirements; 300 ppi below is an example. LAB AND PRODUCT Lab / product / paper: Requirements URL and date checked: File format / bit depth / color space / profile instructions: Correction option / border or trim instructions: FILE CALCULATION Original filename / width x height in pixels: Crop width x height in pixels: Print width x height in inches: Horizontal ppi = cropped width pixels / print width inches: Vertical ppi = cropped height pixels / print height inches: Both ratios should agree for an unstretched matching crop. WORKED EXAMPLE (hypothetical) 4000 x 6000 portrait -> crop to 4000 x 5000 for 8 x 10 inches. Height removed: 1000 pixels total (500 at each end if centered). 4000 / 8 = 500 ppi; 5000 / 10 = 500 ppi. At 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches corresponds to 2400 x 3000 pixels. Crop position must preserve the subject; resampling cannot establish extra captured detail. Follow the chosen lab's actual delivery specification. TEST ORDER File A (face) / version: File B (bright and dark detail) / version: File C (fine detail or strong color) / version: Size / paper / correction setting / order number / date: Save the exact uploaded exports and crop previews. REVIEW IN CONSISTENT LIGHT Crop and edge clearance: Skin tone / highlights / shadows: Fine detail / visible sharpening: Surface reflections at intended location: One factor to change next: Repeat-order settings: Source context: See the article's Adobe resizing and Mpix preparation links. Lab specifications vary by service and product; the examples are not quotes.
