COMPRESSED-AIR STORAGE EVIDENCE SHEET Yenra | Updated September 7, 2026 Article: https://yenra.com/compressed-air-energy/ PURPOSE AND INSTRUCTIONS Compare compressed-air storage proposals at the same required service. Request professional design and operating evidence; this sheet is not pressure-system design or operating guidance. DESIGN AND STATUS Provider / project / document date: Design: diabatic, adiabatic, near-isothermal or specified variation: Heat source, storage and rejection: Vessel or geological storage / site assessment / approvals: Status: laboratory, proposed, commissioning, operating: Evidence period / duty / independent or supplier test: SERVICE AND BOUNDARY Required net MW / usable MWh / duration (h): Response / cycles per year / storage interval: Electrical measurement boundary: Initial and final pressure and thermal state: Ambient conditions / output variation / reserve: COMPLETE CYCLE LEDGER Charging electricity including auxiliaries (MWh): Additional fuel input (MWh, specify LHV or HHV): External heat input (MWh thermal and temperature): Net electricity returned at the same boundary (MWh): Fuel-free electrical RTE = net output / full electrical input, only with no external fuel/heat and equivalent initial/final storage states. If fuel/heat is used, keep every input visible and name any combined-input ratio precisely. FICTIONAL CHECKS Fuel-free: 100 MWh electricity in, 60 MWh net out = 60% electrical RTE. 60 MWh steadily at 20 MW = 3 hours. Separate fuel-assisted case: 100 MWh electricity + 50 MWh fuel (LHV), 90 MWh net out. 90/100 = 90% omits fuel. 90/(100+50) = 60% electricity output / total stated energy input. The latter combines input energy types; it is not fuel-free electrical RTE or an exergy analysis. Neither case predicts real equipment performance.
