Purpose: document copying a stable, readable card and the decision to reuse it.
Keep one completed record per card/job. Preserve the card until copies are accepted.
Cancel initialization/format offers when the card contains needed files.
Read errors or repeated disconnections require a separate recovery decision.

Interpretation: matching checksums establish byte equality for the files compared.
They do not establish that the original capture is undamaged or that every expected
file was included. Reconcile against the source inventory and test actual use.

OPTIONAL CAPACITY ESTIMATE
Video bitrate in Mb/s / 8 = payload MB/s.
Payload MB/s x recording seconds = payload MB (decimal).
Example only: 400 Mb/s / 8 x 1,200 seconds = 60,000 MB = 60 GB.
Allow overhead, variable bitrate and working margin; follow supported-media rules.
