Fictional example, not a forecast or quotation:
$8m annual gross - $2m rebates - $1.5m added expenses = $4.5m annual net.
$18m upfront / $4.5m annual net = 4 years after that net begins.
At $5m gross, the same deductions leave $1.5m net; recovery = 12 years.
These simple calculations exclude financing, discounting, inflation,
depreciation and delays. A full analysis needs year-by-year cash flows.
