American Idol hopefuls have a new tool to polish their singing skills with the American Idol Microphone Shower Radio from a supplier of gifts, housewares, and executive gadgets.
The American Idol microphone shower radio is a battery-operated AM/FM shower radio that has the appearance and shape of a real microphone and features the American Idol logo.
Mark Feldstein and Associates signed a license agreement with the co-producer and licensor of American Idol to use the logo from the nation's most-watched reality series.
"I think we all have a little American Idol dream in us," said Mark Feldstein. "The new American Idol microphone shower radio allows us to live that dream in the privacy of our own home."
"The impulse to sing can strike anywhere, but everybody believes that they sound just like an Idol when singing in the privacy and acoustics of their shower," said David Luner of FremantleMedia Licensing.
Consumers can use the shower radio to tune in to their favorite radio station, pick up the microphone, and sing along with the songs - all during their shower or any other activity around the home.
The shower radio is water resistant, has adjustable controls, and includes a suction cup holder for in-shower use.
It will sell for $9.95 and be available in retail stores nationwide.
