All eyes are now on Greece in 2004 as the Athens Olympic Games ramp up, but there's more hot sporting activity going on in the region. Vacationers are finding it hard to resist the temptation of the Greek Isles, Contiki's Mykonos Resort, a new Greek island resort devoted exclusively to 18 to 35 year olds.
Opening May 15, the Contiki Mykonos Resort features 150 newly renovated rooms, nightclub, gymnasium, Internet cafe, tennis courts, beach bar and water sports center. The resort is situated on the famous Kalafatis Bay in a European four-star, Greek Category A hotel. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union for meeting its standards for cleanliness and safety.
Optional activities include scuba diving, sea kayaking, wind surfing and other water sports that can be reserved through Contiki Action Planners (CAPS) who are on site to pump up vacationers' itineraries. For visitors looking for history and ancient culture, Contiki offers a half-day excursion to the nearby island of Delos.

The resort boasts rooms with sea and garden views that include a private balcony, veranda, or small courtyard, air conditioning, TV, telephone, mini- fridge, hairdryer, toiletries and towels, private bathroom, and brunch and dinner included daily.
The new Contiki Mykonos Resort can be experienced as both a stand-alone destination and as an add-on to other Contiki tours. Prices vary from $315 for a three-night stay to $499 for five nights during peak season. In addition, round-trip and ferry transfer can be purchased in advance through Contiki. Clients who book 7 nights or more save $100, and 5-6 nights save $50. Prices quoted are based on land-only.
Contiki offers escorted tours, resorts and cruises to Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand for 18 to 35 year-olds.
