Ascadia has won a Popular Science innovation award for its groundbreaking invention of colored bubbles, a range of richly-colored, nearly-opaque bubbles whose color disappears when exposed to air, water or pressure.

Bubbles have long been a source of delight and fascination for children the world over. Now, Ascadia has combined the simple joy of bubbles with the beauty and magic of color. For the first time, children will be able to choose their favorite colored bubbles and experience the magic of watching the color disappear before their eyes. Zubbles are the invention of Tim Kehoe and Ram Sabnis of Ascadia.

Tim spent more than ten years conducting experiments from his kitchen sink. Tim said "Many chemists told me over the years it simply couldn't be done. It is very gratifying to finally achieve success."

Colored bubbles are the first application developed by Ascadia in collaboration with C2C Technologies, developer of color change process technology.
