SurfKitchen today announced that it powers TIM Imagine, the new mobile data services platform of STET Hellas in Greece, recently re-branded to TIM. TIM Imagine is an innovative, full-color mobile application that combines an attractive graphical user environment with easy and direct access to all of the value added services offered by TIM in Greece.
TIM Imagine is available to all of TIM's 2.4 million customers in Greece, who now have the opportunity to surf mobile data services such as games, news alerts, sport, leisure information and also location-based services completely free with one-click access service powered by SurfKitchen. Customers will only pay if they choose to use a service.
SurfKit Mobile helps mobile operators increase the uptake of mobile data services by revolutionising the mobile data user experience, enabling users to view premium data services and information on a handset without having to go online.
Initially TIM Imagine is available on eight devices - SonyEricsson's P800 and P900, Siemens' SX1 and Nokia's 6600, 3660, 7650, 3650 and N-Gage.
This is the first time it has been possible for a Greek operator to remotely customize and control information on the user's handset, as SurfKit Mobile's user interface can be managed and updated over the air. This is done by a straightforward, cost-effective platform, which is always present on the subscriber's phone.
TIM in Greece is the latest in a string of recent SurfKitchen customer wins that include SONOFON's e-go service in Denmark, O2 UK and O2 Germany.
